About the Bride and Groom

Our story began during the peak of the pandemic when life had slowed down, but fate decided it was the perfect time for us to reconnect. Leigh, still living in New York City, had returned to Charleston for a few weeks, and a mutual friend invited her out on a boat. Little did she know, this seemingly casual day would lead to an unexpected reunion.

Hunter and Leigh hadn’t crossed paths in almost 15 years, but as luck would have it, they ended up on the same boat that day. It wasn’t exactly smooth sailing—literally—when the boat ran aground, stranding the group in the middle of the harbor. While waiting for the tide to turn, Hunter and Leigh struck up a conversation, and what started as small talk quickly turned into hours of getting to know each other. They realized how much they had in common—shared interests, mutual friends, and a connection that felt surprisingly natural.

In the months that followed, their friendship blossomed into something more, and they discovered just how much they enjoyed each other's company. It didn't take long before they realized that the unexpected meeting was exactly what they both needed.

Now, after navigating the challenges of the pandemic together, exploring new places, and deepening their bond, we are beyond excited to take the next step in our journey. We can’t wait to celebrate this special moment with our families and friends!
